Reg Supreme Pro 1.4 - Thousands of errors

I had 1.2 and ran it getting a couple of hundred errors. I then downloaded 1.4 and it showed over three thousand errors before I closed it. I'm very nervous about letting it do its own thing on that many "errors" since there is no reason to have that many unless 1.2 was really inadequate. Any thoughts from anyone?

Are you running the program in Aggressive mode?

The new RegSupreme Pro can also detect errors in encrypted system registry entries, the old version couldn't (nor can most other registry cleaners), this is why the new version shows that many more errors.

Most of these errors are, I assume, UserAssist entries. They are safe to remove, however, some MRU features of Windows will be reseted if you do so. One of such feature is the Personalized Start Menu of XP, clearing all UserAssist entries will clear it, but you can avoid the problem by not using the Personalized menus in XP.

Only the Aggressive mode clears all of these entries, so running the Normal mode should always be safe.

I wasn't running in aggressive mode. And the majority of entries were user assist entries which I went ahead and got rid of. No problems yet. Thanks for the reply.

UserAssist entries are for the Personalized menus in your start menu.

These entries are indeed a lot.

If you don't use the Personalized Menus, then removing the UserAssits entries can go.

If you use this feature, add UserAssist to your ignore list in the Registry Cleaner.
