I guess you have the Registry Cleaner's security update service enabled. Its function is explained in detail in the Handbook, but it basically it downloads latest safety updates to the Registry Cleaner engine and doesn't send any private data to us.
This can also be verified with a packet sniffer application which shows exactly what data each application sends and receives.
The feature is disabled by default, the first time you start jv16 PowerTools you are asked whether to enable this feature or not.
If you wish stop to using the feature you can disable it, and all PT's network features from Settings > Network features.
