I have RegSupreme version 1.4.0.45 and this happend to me after I ran a deep scan. I ran the program and it fixed all the entries (think it was about 6800 entries).

Then I had some problems with my Windows Live Messenger. The "show what I'm listening" function didn't work cause some windows media player entries was probably deleted. After that I restarted my computer.

Then I saw these signs instead of the ordinary windows font. And after a while explorer.exe didn't respond. So I shutdown my computer and started in Safe Mode (see the picture). The font was still messed up and it was hard to browse through the folders cause of that. But finally I found the backup and copied it to the desktop, cause I couldn't apply it when I was in Safe Mode.

Started up normally and applied the backup and restarted, and it was solved. But now I just wanna know why this happend to me?

I'm running a Dell Inspiron 9300, Windows XP Professional SP2, all the necessary updates from windows.

Do not use "deep" or "aggressive" scan in the future. "Normal" scan is safer :

Hello,

It would be recommanded to update to the newest version => 1.4.046.

See for more information here:

For more information about the Normal/Aggressive scan you should read the help file => Help Topics -> Registry Cleaner

Oh sorry, forget to tell I'm using RegSupreme Pro 1.4.0.45. And what I can see in the download section, that is the latest version of it. Am I safe to scan in Normal mode?

Sorry, we encountered an error while displaying this content. If you're a user, please try again later. If you're an administrator, take a look in your Flarum log files for more information.

Hi "Elfgren",

Well! You're right, for "Pro" you do have the latest version.

Agressive mode is dangerous...

Delete all menu order data and other things...

I use only normal scan, its safe!

This RegSupreme Pro is different: slower and dangeous...

Take carefull and use Normal scan

Simply restore the backup created by RegSupreme Pro and the problem should be solved.
