You have a software manager tool. How about a driver management tool for assistance with identifying, updating, backing up and restoring drivers. This would be great if you need to do a system re-install. Instead of digging out all of the required driver disks and restoring them individually you could reload jv16, restore all of your backed up drivers and wah-lah! everything works again.

Sorry, jv16,

It's my personal opinion that it is not such a good idea letting users (particulary new ones) organize polls. That should remain a prerogative of (the) moderator(s).

Besides what's in a poll when only some users are participating?

I think posting new ideas will do and linking (a) poll(s) is not necessary unless the moderator(s) organize(s) it.

Maybe I am wrong, but that's my personal opinion. That way our forum will not become a mess :

Well here is my vote: NO driver-management-tool.

I can manage my drivers on my own. If anyone has to do a system-restore he will start fresh and new again and should not use "old" backupped drivers........in my opinion.

On the other hand...............keep the JV-Tools as slim as possible......

As it says in the title...........JV-Tools are there to clean the registry and stuff and nothing else.

As redseujac mentioned....enough 3rd-party-stuff about to do that job. :)

Regards

Tausend, I completely agree with you:

no need to have a "driver-management" tool in jv16PT.

jv16 has to keep up the existing PowerTools "in shape" and that's already a great challenge.

If jv16 keeps adding already existing 3rd party programs the PT will become too overwhelming (not to say a mess) :

As to me I had already voted a BIG NO :

A registry compactor that outperforms NT Registry Optimizer would be nice.

Forget the Disk Defragmenter as I have opposed it for obvious and legitimate reasons in other threads here, backing up my opposition with a link to another forum where all info can be read by everyone here.
