Large DAT File

Hello All!

I was perusing my computer and when I went to explore C:\ there I find a file JV16_PT004134A.dat it is 2,019,184KB. I tried to open it but my system rapidly runs out of memory even the pagefile and then crash.

Can anybody tell me what and why its there and what to do or not to do with it. My computers have been running great with no errors obvious.

C:\JV16_PT004134A.dat ?

Something that large with that name is possibly a remnant of a PT Disk Wiper wipe free space run that did not complete.

Did something like that happen on the creation date of the file?

If so, just delete it.

I went back through my hard logs and sure enough just after the release of PT2006 I was checking things out and we had had a power outage for 4 hours. I forgot all about it!

File deleted, space regained and all is well again!
