I'm a very happy registered user of PowerTools 2006. One question though:

I'm running Win ME. The program installs into a folder 'PowerTools 2006' within the 'Program Files' folder. After running PowerTools for the first time it opens a new folder, 'PowerTool 2005', and records History, Settings and Preferences. But these are already recorded in the folder PowerTools 2006. Why? And why the folder name?

If I delete the folder 'PowerTools 2005' and then open the program from within 'PowerTools 2006' folder it again creates the deleted folder. It does not cause a problem -- but I would rather this duplication could be avoided.

Any thoughts out there?

In your "PowerTools 2006" folder, check the file MainSettings.dat with notepad. It may point to "PowerTools 2005."

If so, just change the 5 to a 6.

Then start PT 2006 and check the items in the Settings...Installation tab ... correct if needed ...
