Registry Compactor Quit Working

In a previous build ov jv2006 (v1 5 2 331) I had run the compactor without any nocible problems. Today, I downloades build 338 and the Compactor is not listing anything, i.e nothing shows up in the Hive column of Registry Compactor (or any of the other columns).

What's my prob.

When I run Registry information, it shows entries for all my Hives.

There must be a specific problem, as for me - and I think most other users too - Registry Compactor is running fine.

There have been a few reports of problems fixed by downloading and installing a fresh copy of the program -- apparently bits occasionally can get changed in transit. An example here -- http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=5475#5475

Might be worth the 10 minutes or so it would take to try that.

I've downloaded and am trialing JV16 PowerTools 2006. Compactor never displayed anything. I have re-downloaded and reinstalled the software. That did not help.
