I downloaded version 2.5 and after closing all other applications I invoked the Uninstalr app.
I selected (highlighted in blue ) several 'discovered' items for removal, including files related to the ASUS Aura app that was used with a previous motherboard. I am now using a GigaByte board.
The uninstaller asked if I wanted to remove these (highlighted) specific files and I acknowledged that with a 'Yes.'
I told the uninstaller to stop all other applications, and reboot after completion. I watched in enter the registry area for each item and perform the removal.
After reboot I started the Uninstalr app back up to get a revised lisiting of what was still present. All the ASUS programs/files were still listed to my surprise. Is there something I am overlooking?
I did not try a removal for a second time until I touched base on this forum.

I am running Windows 11 Home / Version 23H2 / OS Build 22631.4602

Sounds like something indeed went wrong. Can you confirm what app did you try to uninstall, was it Asus Aura? And do you happen to remember what kind of paths relating to it were not removed? Also, to confirm, did you run the uninstallation with the default settings?

This sort of issue can happen due to many reasons, such as files being still in use or otherwise protected against removal. But it's difficult to say yet. If you can help me to reproduce the issue, I can analyze it properly and if it is a bug in Uninstalr, I can fix it.

"Can you confirm what app did you try to uninstall, was it Asus Aura?"
Yes, it was the Aura application files that were leftover when I previously deleted the app using
the Windows 11 App Removal utility.
    The files discoverd were:
    ASUS AIOFan HAL
    ASUS AURA Extension Card HAL
    ASUS AURA Motherboard HAL
    AURA DRAM Component

The above files were again listed after Uninstalr did its 'Analysis' just now.
"Uninstalr version 2.5 found 110 installed software. They are currently occupying a total 15 GB of space."
"A total of 149 files, 252 folders, 2737 registry keys and 598 registry entries. are detecterd to be relating to these installed software."
I have a screenshot of your anaylsis page if you want to look at it. This communications medium would not let me
    upload a picture though.

I can reproduce the issue, thank you very much for reporting. I shall fix this for the next version.
