I tested Win 7 x86 Professional with build 976 on my new netbook:

Result: W7 x86 shows the same graphical problems as I reported before for XP-Pro-SP3!

Easily reproducable:

1.With CFMC -> Scan report -> Vertical scrollbar -> 6-8 time fully moved UP and DOWN -> messed-up display screen -> 'double line effect'

2.Double clicking in the Scan report header on the column separator lines most of the time does not respond.

So I find it hard to understand why this probem can not be reproduced in XP-SP3 and/or W7 x86!

There is a bug in the way "Never Show Again" works in the History Cleaner and also the History component of Clean and Fix. Instead of never showing again the specific logs or items that cannot be fixed, "Never Show Again" applies to the entire category....such as Microsoft Windows Logs. In the picture example below, using "Never Show Again" ends up with SuperHistoryCleanerIgnoreList.dat being microsoft||windows (logs)

How do you perform the scrolling? Do you grab the "button" inside the scroll bar and move that around, or do you the mouse wheel or the up/down arrow buttons of the scroll bar? Or do you click the empty area of the scroll bar under the button one can grab?

In the scan result window I grab the "button" inside the vertical scroll bar and (rather quickly) move that "button" UP+DOWN (=1 cycle) for 4-8 times.

That is usually enough to mess up the display.

I downloaded and ran the camstudio program!

However at the moment the display mess-up started the camstudio program stoped recording with the message: "Error reading a frame". Just similar to Irfanview.

I suspected for a while my video card but my brand new 12" W7 x86 notebook, with a different brand video engine, acts similar.

Sounds like there is a bug in the list control that causes a problem with Windows GDI and/or the video card drivers. I have sent you a private message about this matter.

I'm seeing the same issue on Windows x64 Professional.

In C:\Program Files\jv16 Powertools\Backups, there are 3 backup folders. Below is the Index.dat for each. Only 0019CA is showing up in the Backups windows of jv16 B976. You can see from the Index.dat file that all these backups were made on 2-Oct-2010 by B976. Note that 0019CA also contains history data (Files.dat)...the other 2 do not.

The 2 missing backUps (0006FC and 00248B) are dated 30/9/2010 but are seen by Tools -> Program maintenance -> Delete old backups.

Running build 976 with XP-Pro-SP3 as well as W7 x86:

After running Registry Cleaner and fixing the 40 found items, the Scan list status line shows Selected: 0, highlighted: 40, total: -5.

This (minor) issue was already fixed in build 975, but the issue seems to be back in build 976.

This is by design. The tools do not support applying Never Show Again to only a specific history items such as individual files or registry entries.

FYI: I'm working with Leonardo to fix the backup issue, after that the new version will be released.
