This is most likely because you are already so used to jv16 PowerTools, PowerTools Lite is ment for people who are not used jv16 PT, or consider it to be too complex and hard to use.

As to me, I found RegSupreme Pro (much) better. It's a pitty Macecraft abandoned RSpro and wanted to make a new program.

After all it should have been possible to keep RSpro alive and make it freeware instead of creating PT Lite.

Well, we can always add more features to PT Lite. But lets see how the first version goes, first.

Simple question: why abandon a nice and good program like RSPro and make a new one which - after some time - maybe will have similar possibilities?

Because RegSupreme Pro and RegSupreme were only limited versions of jv16 PowerTools, not very much easier to use. The idea of PowerTools Lite is to be very easy to use, if more features will be added to it in the future the features will not work the same way as they do in jv16 PowerTools (or did in RegSupreme Pro).

But that "problem" didn't/doesn't happen to me when I ran/run PT Lite.

I also get zeros at the bottom.

Additionally, in the caption area, the count of files is called keys and possibly vice versa -- for some lines anyway. I reported this earlier:

I have two win-XP prof SP3 systems both up to full microsoft maintenance.

One system is original XP-Prof, over the years updated with SP1-> SP2->SP3 and latest maintenance.

This systems encounters all the problems previously described by TULLIK with PT lite v 561.

The other system is a less than one year old "Out of the box Win-XP-Prof SP3 system" with latest maintenance.

This system runs without the problems, as descrided earlier by TULLIK, with PT Lite v561.

These two systems, although both Win-XP-Pro SP3 do differ!

Nothing happens when you click above or below the slider, or try to move the slider.

It's probably a collateral symptom of the "right click" bug and/or the "50% cpu run on loop" bug.

Right click on a detail line sometimes shows several options. Selecting the "Never show" option then brings up an empty "Ignore list editor" window. However, most of the time, you can't do anything useful after doing just the right click.

You are correct, the Right Click feature should in all tools be called "Open in RegEdit". This is also now fixed.

It's too big to attach as is, so I split it with the File Tool. I'll put the second part in the next post.

I ran this time with the main results categories expanded. The right click worked on all the line types. So I collapsed everything, then expanded just the "Registry Junk/Error relating to Useless file extension" section. A right click on a detail line then had these effects:

*** A two item context menu popped up.

*** The results window was completely unresponsive to the mouse.

*** It terminated with a single use of the Escape key, but the two item context menu pop-up stayed on the desktop.

*** And the main window popped up and also was unresponsive, as was its task bar entry.

*** However, double clicking its title bar minimized it.

*** Then clicking its task bar entry brought up a responsive main window, which I closed.
