Just dropped by to let you know that I spent rest of the day working on other things, such as one php thing. After I got the comment and age system to work I was pretty tired with that so I wanted to do something else for a while.

I will continue the work with the new PT version tomorrow. I'm most confident that the beta version is ready in this week.

I'm currently doing last small improvements, checking that everything is working. This and that, really.

This phase usually takes a day or two.

I improved the generation of the default backup description , it wasn't working very well before.

I changed the selection policy to what it was in the PT 1.4.1. That is, when you right click an item and click Select, only the item under your mouse pointer is selected. The original version of PT 2005 selected all the highlighted items.

I got a few comments about that and I agree the old way was better.

I have been today finishing the translation interface, i.e. making sure all texts appearing in the product's user interface are also in the language file for the translators to translate.

I think the beta is now ready but I want to test a few things myself before sending it to the testers. The beta vesion should be sent to the testers later today or tomorrow.

I have today worked on a few other things than the PT update.

However, I will now implement the Fix button of Registry Cleaner which wasn't implemented in the beta version. And of course I forgot to mention that in the release notes, well, one can't always remember everything.

I will be spending rest of the day on other projects. I will continue this project most likely tomorrow.

I fixed a few problems reported by our great beta testers but that's pretty much all I did for the PT 2005 today.

I'll continue from this tomorrow.

It seems there hasn't been so many bugs in the beta versions since I haven't received many bug reports. This was what I was hoping since the changes and improvements made were not so profound.

I will spend today testing and improving the new version.

I finally improved the Help > About box to show on how many computers you can use your copy of the product. This is something I should have done ages ago.

I'm still doing testing and fixing all the small things I find. So far I haven't found any big problems.

I have found quite a few small problems from the beta version and fixed them.

Beaumont Barnabe also sent the very first really good bug report about the beta version. I'll put my mind on that tomorrow.

Leo found one problem from the Software Manager that caused it to show very much incorrect software installation paths and main executable info. I'm currenty working on fixing it.

I have now finished the File Organizer, it still needed some minor finishing. Now it seems to run perfectly.

I'll continue from Barnabe's report tomorrow.

I worked late with the PT 2005 yesterday and got dozens and dozens of bugs fixed. None of the bugs were serious, but I'm still glad they got all now fixed.

A new beta version containing all these fixes and improvements will be released later today. If everything goes well, the final version should be out in next week.

I will be working on other projects today, I'll continue the work with the PT 2005 tomorrow. I'm just making sure all the beta testers have enough time to test the beta version and send their reports.

I have been today doing some testing and reading beta testers' reports. I'll read Barnabe's great new report next. Fixing all the things he reports will take a few hours or so.

Wow, that took almost 3 hours. Not that I mind, quite the opposite.

Barnabe's report contained very good points and also a big list of bugs found from the jv16 PT 2005 Beta2.

Since there's absolutely no point in releasing the new version prematurely, there will be at least one more beta version for you to test. It will be released in this week, most likely tomorrow.
