Impossible to uninstall Discord with version 2.3

Hello,

I just downloaded the portable version 2.3 of Uninstalr and I can no longer uninstall software like Discord.

I downloaded and installed Discord by the Wingetui package manager (Winget: Winget).

However, I have already previously uninstalled software from different sources like Winget or Basically from the publisher/developer site.

This time, I am disappointed, I thought that the procedure was going to be fine, but after restarting it only created a shortcut on the desk to Discord without deleting it.

Does the problem still occur with Uninstalr 2.4?

What do you mean, exactly? What files or registry data is left behind after the uninstallation?

I tested this in a Windows 10 test system. I installed package id "discord.discord", then uninstalled it with current official version of Uninstalr and I didn't detect any issues in the uninstallation process.

Thanks for responding. I have submitted a request with an attached file to your help center.
The discord folder found by uninstalr does not exist on my ...\Appdata\local\ folder.

I'm a bit confused. Are you reporting that you are unable to uninstall Discord, or are you reporting that the UI is displaying folders relating to Discord that do not exist?

The latter is a feature, not a bug. The purpose of the feature is also explained in the UI: Non-existing folders are listed to be removed, as these folders might be created by third party software when it is being uninstalled and therefore Uninstalr lists these folders as paths that will be removed if they are created during the process. Yes, uninstalling apps sometimes make them to create more folders to the system.

I am using uninstalr 2.4

My questions:

After uninstall, "discord is currently occupying 0 kb of space"; this is good.
However, discord is still showing up in the list of installed software, with the "possible leftover" indicator
Clicking on ShowData, I find a lot of persistent information ( the file I sent your support folks)

I would think that after a complete uninstall, there would be no residual info, and Discord would be removed from the "installed apps" list?

You are correct, no Discord paths should be existing after uninstallation.
