I'm afraid this is a known issue mentioned in the Change Log: the program will be quite slow on systems with a lot of installed software. I will be improving this with future versions, of course. In the meanwhile, you can make the analysis faster by adjusting the analysis depth from the Settings.

The just released version 2.2 should be quite a bit faster. Is it faster for you?

The reason why other programs like Revo Uninstaller are faster to show the installed apps listing is because they don't really analyze the entire system, they mostly just analyze the couple Windows registry keys were installed apps are supposed to register themselves and that's it. This is why these programs also are unable to display things like accurate number of paths relating to installed apps or the accurate size of the installed apps, that Uninstalr can.

The higher quality analysis that Uninstalr performs comes at the price of it being a bit slower. That being said, I'm working on improving the speed and with this version 2.2, the speed should already be better.

Version 2.2 is indeed faster. Analysis took 126 sec. now, so 2 minutes instead of more than 3 minutes.
In "fast scanning" mode (17 sec) no installed software is shown. Is that a bug?
There is also a translation issue for the "results" of that fast scanning mode: the text "fast scanning mode" etc. is not translated.

Thank you for reporting! I will try to see if I can reproduce the "fast scanning" mode producing no results. That is indeed a bug. I will also fix the translation issue.

I have now tested this in numerous different testing systems that I have, both real and Virtual Machines, yet I'm not able to reproduce the problem.

Are these the steps that reproduces the issue for you:

1) Start Uninstalr and let it run normally,
2) Open Settings, change the "System Analysis Mode" to "Fast", click Save Settings,
3) Restart the program,
4) The list of installed apps is empty.

Or are there any other steps that you take to see this issue? Also, is Uninstalr running in your system in English or in Dutch?

I'm afraid you encountered the issue listed in the Change Log as a known bug. This happens only very few systems, so I guess you are one of the (un)lucky ones. If you want to help me to fix this bug, I can send you a custom debug version of the app that produces some debug logs. Would you be willing to do that to help me to fix this?

I will also fix the translation issue.

No these are the correct steps.
Uninstalr is running in Dutch. I will try it in English now and let you know the results here.
Same result when running the app in English.

These are the same steps we have used to test this, so I'm unsure why we cannot see the problem. I will send you a debug version via email that will generate a debug log, perhaps that will tell me why the installed apps list is empty for you.
