PS. If you are using the jv16 PowerTools NMV Build 288 (the original Release Candidate version), it should automatically update itself to this version. This may take a few times of starting the app and closing it. If it does not automatically update, you can do manual update by downloading the setup file and running it (installing it over the old version).
The automatically update doesn't start, although I've activated these functions.
Same here.
The Automatic Update is triggered every time the program is closed. This is because we cannot update a running file in Windows, that is why the automatic update cannot be started when ever you start jv16 PowerTools, because then we could not do the actual update (as the app is running).
Plus, there is a delay by design with the delivery of the automatic updates. It can take a few runs of the program (i.e. opening and closing of the app) before the automatic update occurs. The delay is there in order to reduce the stress of our servers. If every single computer running PT would download the updated version at the same time, the traffic would kill our servers. That is why we attempt to spread the update traffic over a 24 hour period.
So, how many times did you run the jv16 PowerTools after the new version update was made, before you concluded the automatic updates do not work?
