W7-x64-SP1 with RC3 on my desktop

I ran Registry cleaner and fixed the found items, closed registry cleaner.

jv16PT_RC3 asked for a reboot, which I did not wanted to do at that time.

In stead I clicked on the CFMC icon.

A that time I got an unusable application error: 'Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window'.

This is on Window 7 x86 Pro and Windows 8 Pro with jv16 RC3

This is still not fixed in Private Build 3. It does force a reboot and then CMD window runs. It still wipes out the setting in User Account Control that allows the system to boot on up without having to enter the log-in password. Plus it did something that causes program SnagIt 11 to crash. SnagIt 11 had to be uninstalled and re-installed.

This is NOT fixed in RC3. This process continues to change the user profile so that the user login password is again required at system startup.

During Initial Setup/Quick Tutorial, deleting other installed translations does not work.

The check box 'delete other translations, I will only use this language' can NOT be checked!

Even without DEBUG mode a Bugreport.txt is normally created in the jv16PT214_RC3 installation directory.

This is correct, Bugreport.txt should always be created if a crash occurs. However, it is possible that it is not created, I have sometimes seen this happen myself.

This issue should now be fixed, thank you for reporting! I again use the word "should" because I have not been able to reproduce the issue, but I have found few issues from the code that could have been the cause of this problem and these issues will be fixed in the next released build.

W7-x64-SP1 with RC3:

Registry Manager

The Add/Remove menu of Registry manager does NOT list a number of programs that now do show up in the new 'Software uninstaller' list of jv16PT2014_RC1/2/3.

Personally I have great difficulties understanding the use and usability of this Registry Manager tool.

Is this still considered a valid/usefull tool for e.g W7 and W8 systems.

If someone can enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Windows 8 x64 Professional, jv16 RC3

When the Registry Compactor runs, it appears to run successfully on Windows 8 x64 Professional. HOWEVER, it too sets the option active that forces a user to enter the Windows log in password on every system startup. See the picture.UserPassword.jpg

Apparently I will grow old and die and pass this on to another generation: why can't I go to Advanced settings, change Default date format to YYYY-MM-DD HH and see the date format change accordingly (for Installation Date in Software Uninstaller)? More to the point: why can't I click on the Installation Date in Software Uninstaller and sort the list by date?

I'm no programmer but in the late 1960's when I went to school it seems to me that was one of the things computers were good at. Sorting, I mean of course.
