Beta 1 Version 2.0.0.988 issues I reported for x64 Windows 7

Some tool or other keeps putting these three files in the folder where jv16pt.exe lives: exe.ico, profile.txt, values.txt. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. They appear in the folder when you start the Software Uninstaller. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Settings Tool font change results in an access violation every time when you close the tool. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
It looks to me like Settings-->Advanced interface-->Use click effects for the tool icons gives you instead the "fade in, fade out" effects. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
When a backup contains both registry items and file system items, the backup shows on both the Registry Backups and File Backups tabs. This could conceivably be an issue for Software Uninstaller backups. Perhaps a warning message is warranted for this case? Almost fixed in v.2.0.0.989. You get the warning message. When you reply "No," the line drops from the list. It reappears when you refresh the list. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Backup Tool-->Custom Restore-->right click Explore original path does not work correctly. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
DEBUG-->Show Debug Log Window shows an empty window. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Program debug tool gets an AV if user does this too fast: click "Generate test report," click OK, click Close, exit PowerTools. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. I speculate that some other AV instances may be due to the progam improperly handling rapid user actions. Awaiting developer response.
The Un-ignore button fails to remove a selected item. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
When you abort the Anti-malware Tool download, it invokes the exception detector. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
When you abort the the Anti-malware Tool scan, its window closes, but it continues to use about 15% CPU and cannot be started again in the same session. (*) issue is with 1st abort button; 2nd one is OK. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed in Beta 3. (*)
Clean and Fix My Computer got an access violation when I clicked Abort while it was removing temp files. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
Registry Manager, Add/Remove tab: right click-->Open in RegEdit does not open at the correct registry location. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Registry Manager: there is no acknowledgment message when you click Abort while the window populates. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Registry Manager: I tried to delete the Filetype xbin_backup. It gave me the backup dialog and the line dropped from the list. By manually expanding all the Backups subfolders, I see that there was a backup (sort of). A subfolder (000D30) contains the backup in an Entries_bak.reg file. However, there is no Entries.reg. That's likely why the backup does not show in the Backup Tool list. (?) Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. Specifically, the backup is not on the list, but exists (in subfolder 001106) without an Entries.reg. Possible fix in Beta 3
Registry Finder: a key search for Search word=ProfileList lists the 32-bit view keys twice, and fails to list the 64-bit view keys. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Registry Information Tool gets an access violation if you click Close when its window first appears. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
Registry Information Tool: some type counts in the "Stored data types" tab disagree with some counts in the details tab. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Registry Monitor Compare does nothing. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Sometimes the File Tool's icon bar appears in the wrong position. Has not beeen observed in Beta 2.
Sometimes dragging & dropping a folder to File Tool window produces a grouping that somehow doesn't seem right. Namely, EACH file has the directory as its own, separate group header line. Fortunately, it doesn't happen every time. Has not beeen observed in Beta 2.
Encrypt/Decrypt Does not decrypt all the selected files completely and leaves garbage (extra files) behind. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed in Beta 3.
File Organizer gets an access violation when you click Abort during the Apply phase. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
It takes way too long to populate the list of certain file tools (File Tool, for example). It seems to be refreshing the empty results window for every file, and perhaps even for every column of every file that will eventually show in the list. The empty window flashes white, then black, for many minutes. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. While this goes on, which can be for many minutes even with a very small complete list showing, the results list will not close. The CPU shows 25% for jv16pt.exe. To end it early, you have to use "end process." To be fixed in Beta 3.
When it is blank, only the leftmost 1 to 1.5 cm. of the tag field are sensitive to that double clicking. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Tag editor: after you do a column sort, a line's tag field double click stops working. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. Tested with the Backup Tool's list. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Tag editor: Clicking OK without changing anything causes the line's tags to disappear from the list. They are still there. Double clicking the line again makes them appear after a second no change OK. Inconsistent behavior in v.2.0.0.989. For example, the set tags show when the Backup Tool list first appears; they do not show when the History Cleaner list first appears. To be fixed in Beta 3.
System Cleaner was set for the safest File Cleaner settings, and to flush a small directory structure, and to empty another small directory structure, without automation. - - - - - - It got an access violation soon after Start was clicked and the backup dialog was told "Yes." Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
An Empty directories action in an automated System Cleaner task removed all the files in a structure, including some "forbidden" by the Global Ignore List. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. Assumed, since it happens with non-automated System Cleaner ... see a separate post made in the Beta 2 topic. To be fixed in Beta 3.
An Empty directories action in an automated System Cleaner task keeps running and removing files even after you click Abort. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. Please see a separate post made in the Beta 2 topic. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Automation Tool: 1. The Delete button invokes the backup dialog, but does not backup the selected task, and nothing is deleted. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Automation Tool: 2. Many of the right click menu options do nothing. For example, Explore, Edit, Edit manually, Properties. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Automation Tool: 3. The Run now button produces this message: : File "" does not exist. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
The Start Menu Tool results window lacks a Tag column. Fixed in v.2.0.0.989.
Service Manager: selecting an item and clicking "Disable" causes an immediate bad handle exception. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
Service Manager gets an immediate access violation when I click "Optimize." Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
Startup Manager loops on the warning message shown here. Whether you click Yes or No, the pop-up always comes back. You have to kill PowerTools. - - - - - I tried Remove twice more. It didn't do the warning pop-up loop. Instead, each time, it got a list index out of bounds exception when I clicked Yes in the backup dialog. Behavior change in v.2.0.0.989. Please see a separate post on the subject later in this Beta 2 topic. May be fixed in Beta 3.
In the Software Uninstaller, I selected "Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U18" and clicked Uninstall. The search for components window came up and I clicked Abort. Six or more access violations occurred. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. There were ten delayed AV exceptions in a row. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Software Uninstaller got several access violations when I did this: 1. I selected Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U18 and clicked Uninstall. ... One AV gone in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed in Beta 3.
Software Uninstaller: Custom Uninstall in a software line's context menu does nothing. Still happens in v.2.0.0.989. To be fixed (i. e., removed) in Beta 3.
After clicking the Software Uninstaller Abort button, an access violation occurred. Does not happen in v.2.0.0.989.
