Version 2.0.0.644
1. License tool: nothing happens when you click “Install a new license.” || 641 x64 || 644 x64
2. Clicking the main window's "Live Support” icon resizes the open Firefox window to an inconveniently small size. || 644 x64
3. Registry Information: the window is a little too small. The sixth stored data type (“Other”) is not fully visible. || 644 x64
4. Anti-Malware tool: the White list Add file button does nothing when clicked (except change color :). || 644 x64
5. Anti-Malware tool: the “Update Anti-Malware” Abort and Close buttons stay red when clicked. || 644 x64
6. Anti-Malware tool: the Ignore Words mentioned in the messages below must be internal. The Ignore words tab doesn't have them, and the Whitelist only contains one file. The results indicate the internal Ignore Words don't always work. || 644 x64
: File "c:\users\owner\downloads\couponprinter.exe" skipped due to Ignore Words or Whitelist.
: File "c:\users\owner\desktop\644\jv16pt.exe" skipped due to Ignore Words or Whitelist.

7. Anti-Malware tool: a message said it skipped C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenOffice.org 3\program\soffice.exe (for one example). However, it shows in the results. Also, nowhere did I specify a scan of C:\Program Files (x86). || 644 x64
8. File Tool: when using the “Select by search word” feature, then the filter panel, the group lines are included in the status bar selected and highlighted counts. EXCELLENT features, BTW. :) || 644 x64
9. File Tool: probably because of the previous item (#8), when using Delete, the hidden files in those groups are no longer available to the list. Apparently, Delete causes removal from the list of the entire selected group. The files selected for deletion are correctly deleted and backed up. || 644 x64
10. Filter panel: when bringing up the panel by just typing, there is a short delay before the panel actually shows. The delay apparently causes the second typed character to be lost. If you wait until the panel shows before typing the second character, it is OK. || 644 x64
11. Many tool lists: fail to remember the last user activated column sorts when the list is reloaded. || 644 x64
12. Startup Manager: create new to HKCU RunOnce works, but the task never shows in the list. || 644 x64
13. Many tool lists: hitting the refresh key (f5) brings up the filter panel filled with a single “t” character. || 644 x64
14. Backup tool: when restoring multiple backups at the same time, if some have the same description, some of those do not restore (per the messages). || 644 x64
15. Registry Finder: fails to find the following keys (used for a SafetyNet test): || 644 x64
hkey_local_machine\software\classes\hwdevicelogin.idhwdevice
hkey_local_machine\software\classes\logicaldevice.idlogicaldevice
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\HWDeviceLogin.IDHWDevice
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\LogicalDevice.IDLogicalDevice
16. Registry Finder: adding the word Wow6432Node to the above search words causes a 25% disabled cpu loop (less than 1% is kernel time). The process has to be killed. || 644 x64
17. Registry tools such as the Registry Finder can show duplicate data under 64 bit Windows. || 642 (???) x64 || 644 (???) x64
18. Software Uninstaller: Custom Uninstall for “Symantec Ccpd-lc” shows empty keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\CCPD-LC, which is not in the registry. The correct key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\CCPD-LC. Note: this is a remnant since Symantec programs were removed using the windows Programs and Features control panel. || 644 x64
19. Software Uninstaller: on my systems, Custom Uninstall for “Netscape Navigator” always makes incorrect identifications under “Files” and “Advanced Settings.” IMO, it would be safer internally to ignore Netscape Navigator items, since the current algorithm associates them with Microsoft Office, Opera, and so forth. || 644 x64
20. Registry Find & Replace: the results window cannot be resized with the mouse. || 644 x64
21. Automation Tool: message "x0x and xyz" run succesfully! should say “ … ran …" (not run). || 644 x64
22. File Tool: dragging files from an explorer window does not work. You get the “slashed circle” forbidden symbol. UAC is off. || 644 x64
23. Global ignore list: is not honored by, for example, the Automation Tool (delete files from directories) or the File Tool (select lines, click Delete). Strings to ignore were: || 644 x64
C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\x0x (files were removed from the folder by both tools)
zzyzzx (one of the files was zzyzzx.txt)
24. Clean and Fix My Computer: except for a quick GUI flash, Never show again does not do anything it is supposed to do. || 644 x64
25. Clean and Fix My Computer: there is a probable Wow6432Node issue involving PT2010 uninstall registry items, which cause an access violation and PowerTools hang when you try to “Export as a .reg file ' or “Save as a program backup.” || 644 x64
*** The list has 11 identical lines: HKLM\Soft\MSoft\Win\CurVer\uninstall\jv16 powertools 2010\, 99%, Obsolete Add / Remove menu entry
*** The top panel shows a key which does not exist in green: HKLM\Soft\MSoft\Win\CurVer\Uninstall\jv16 PowerTools 2010\
*** This key does exist: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\jv16 PowerTools 2010
*** I'll get a debug log and post it separately.
26. Registry Cleaner: also has a problem with the same 11 PT2010 uninstall registry items. Upon delete, it gets an access violation. However, the key and entries were deleted, the backup was correct for the Wow6432Node key (even though the list did not show that), and the program did not hang. I'll post a debug log separately. (I restored the backup and deleted three additional times, but the access violation did not recur – so no debug log is available. I'll post the Entries.reg file to the “Clean and Fix My Computer” post about its problem with the same items.) || 644 x64
27. File Encrypter: it seems the feature doesn't show an Abort button or any sort of progress indicator. I was encrypting over 1300 file from the File Tool. || 644 x64
28. File Tool: there is an issue with More functions-->Move to recycle bin (access denied). The icon does that also. || 641 x64 || 644 x64
29. File Tools (various): size and dates, when preferred columns, often do not fill in until you deselect then reselect size. || 644 x64
30. Start Menu tool: when “Also show empty directories” is checked, the tool can refuse to show its results even though the progress indicator is full and the debug log says it is done. CPU use runs on at 25% with minimal kernel time. I'll post debug logs (3) separately. || 644 x64
31. Registry Finder runs on at ~25 to 30% cpu after Abort is clicked. It still happens. Note these messages: || 640 x64 || 644 x64
: HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG analyzed.
: HKEY_USERS analyzed.
: HKEY_CURRENT_USER analyzed.
: Operation aborted.
: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT analyzed.
: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE analyzed.
32. Delete of a selected item in the Registry Manager "Open with" tab dropped the item from the list but backed up and deleted nothing. || 632 || 644 x64
33. When you save a named preference, it saves OK. However, the name shown in the box immediately changes to “Saved preferences ...” – IMO, the just saved name should show. || 642 x64 || 644 x64
34. When you delete an HKCU item and its HKUS “mirror” with Custom Fix, one of the items stays in the results list. || 640 || 644 x64
35. Backup Tool: List control-->Show filter panel gets this message “: Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window” quite often, maybe every time. || 644 x64
36. When using the Explore feature, the opening Explorer window could stay behind other windows (second try to fix this) It seems to not work when the CTRL+point+click is at the filename part of the path, but does work at the folder part. || 641 (??) || 644 x64
37. Registry tools including the Registry Cleaner could show a valid registry key in red color coding in the Top Panel. I haven't seen this in Beta 1. However, those tools can show an invalid registry key in green color coding in the Top Panel. || 642 || 644 x64
38. Registry Cleaner: access violation deleting MRU. Deleted count = 114; backed up count = 112. After restore, possible cause was isolated to a Direct3D entry under a Wow6432Node key. There was an access violation while attempting to view the key via “Open in RegEdit.” Will post two debug logs and the backup Entries.reg separately. || 644 x64
39. History Cleaner: “Never show again” without checking at least one line does nothing and no advisory message is issued. || 644 x64
40. Main program: the "interrupted execution" bug is back again. See http://www.macecraft.com/bugtracker/bug/111243/ -- also see http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3878&p=20849#p20849 || 640 || 644 x64
41. Main window statistics says “... fixed 695 registry errors and deleted 51 temp files, 5 files deleted in total.” which is contradictory. It should say, for example, “... fixed 695 registry errors, deleted 51 temp files, and deleted 5 other files.” || 642 x64 || 644 x64
42. Startup Manager: when you remove a disabled task, it drops from the list. However, it still shows the next time you run the tool, and the backup is not created. Will email a debug log. <Current implementation requires a task to be enabled before it can be removed. That's OK, but the user should be told (or Remove button not active for a disabled task?)> || 642 x64 || 644 x64
43. Startup Manager – Create new: needs to add the various Wow6432Node Run and RunOnce options if the system is x64. || 644 x64
