This is already possible. Just select (i.e. tick) all the lines you are interested of, use a Right Click and you'll have this feature in the Right-Click menu.

Implementing this to work by right-clicking the groups as well would be possible, but it would be too much work considering you can already do this in a bit different way.

This morning was again spent on PowerTools 2009, I'd really like to get it ready & released soon.

After that it was back to PT 2010 again. Oh how much I do love it! Everything is so much more elegant with PT 2010, both under the hood and with the GUI as well.

Anyways, I worked on fine tuning the Initial Setup thing to make the entire first run of the program to be more user friendly. And now I'm working on adding some program wide tools to handle the new list component, tools such as "Collapse", "Expand", "Remove from list" etc which will be available on all lists of the program. This wouldn't be possible without the major task of uniforming the lists and the development of the great new list control.

Worked on the new Installer:

Yeah, not only does PowerTools 2010 rock, its new installer does that too! You can select what translations to install, or whether you want an entry be added to Control Panel's Programs and Feature (Add/Remove Software in XP). Or, if you want to download the handbook, or a translated version of it! 8)

So, the PowerTools 2010 will come in two flavors:

1. The normal, the setup's file size is about 4.7 MB. This version does not contain the Anti-Malware feature nor the Handbook. But, you can simply select these features to be downloaded during the installation, or after installation within PowerTools itself.

2. The offline version, the setup's file size is about 15 MB. This version comes with Anti-Malware and the Handbook.

The first option will be the default one, the offline version will only be made available for special cases. Special cases meaning environments in which you might not have an internet connection.

This would be Very useful during testing, & also at other times.

Instead of copying to the clipboard, it could instead save a listing of the selected keys, or a listing of the selected heading...

As this would be Very useful as in the recent case of the whole listing being incomplete (bug), & when only some of the errors are wanted (& Not the entire error listing)....

That my friend is a very good idea! I think it should be added to PowerTools 2010.

That my friend is a very good idea! I think it should be added to PowerTools 2010.

Of course that can already be done with the two ways to create an "Entries.reg" for the selected items without fixing or deleting them. An advantage of this is you can examine exactly what would be backed up before committing. A disadvantage is the "Error description" is not in the "Entries.reg" file.

Implementation of Roberta's suggestion allows us to capture the error descriptions for a selected subset of items anywhere in the results list.

File Finder, File Tool; More functions; Find & Replace -- usability improvement suggestions

The "Found from" column should show the full path, not just the file name.

There should be a line context menu option to "view" the file.

The Replace button should only act on selected lines, not on everything left in the list.

This subtool window needs some features like a "Select" menu, Tools-->Search, and the Filter feature to make it easier to work with a list with several hundred lines.

Did some final minor adjustments to PowerTools 2009 and sent it for final testing. If everything goes well, the new version of PowerTools 2009 will be released tomorrow.

And now I'm back working on PowerTools 2010.

I can do that now, for example, by adding DebugMode.dat to the program folder before starting the second instance.

Does "in beta testing release the Debug menu is always visible in the Main Window" mean it has an option to turn it on or off? Or will there be some other way to "disable the debug mode"?

Perhaps "beta testing release" merely puts that file in the program folder so it can be controlled just as it is now?

In beta testing releases the Debug Menu is always visible in the Main Window, but this doesn't mean that the Debug Mode is always enabled. You must still enable it from the menu if you wish to turn on the logging.

The idea of the beta testing release system is that the Program Debug Tool will monitor which buttons of the program you are using so it can list what features you haven't yet tried out.

This morning was spent on testing PowerTools 2009, everything should be ready for its release in a few hours.

In addition I have done some usability work with PowerTools 2010 and implemented the following new improvements:

9. And yet another one removed from the Known Issues: Registry and System health scores are not yet updated by scanning the computer using "Clean and fix my computer", only using the Registry Cleaner.

10. The Quick Tutorial no longer shows the Anti Virus warning in the first two steps to allow the user to select the correct translation and not to confuse the possible first time user with a warning message right from the start.

11. Within the first program run after the Initial Setup, the program no longer shows any tips (except for two important ones). Instead, the tips start to show from the second run of the program after the Initial Setup. This is to make sure a new user doesn't get overwhelmed by information on the first run.

12. Removed the time stamp of the Message Log window for users using the basic view. Advanced users still see the time stamps as before.

13. Added a feature called "List Control" to the Right Click menu of all the main tools, e.g. the Registry Cleaner. The List Control allows you to do many common tasks with the list, such as remove lines, collapse/expand groups, save the selected lines to a file etc.

We are using the new Program Debug Tool for extensive in-house testing of the PowerTools 2010. After it's done it's time for the next Test Version.

I'm glad PowerTools 2009 is finally out, now we can all focus on PowerTools 2010.

Here are a few more bugs fixed since the last Test Version:

23. Buttons of the Anti-Malware tool were not monitored by the color debug system (now called Program Debug Tool).

24. With File Recovery, you could have no files selected, yet still click Undelete in which case the tool would hang.

25. When resizing any of PowerTools' windows the resize could continue after you released the mouse button, additional click would finally end the resize operation. Fixed now.

26. Registry Cleaner's Custom Fix feature would sometimes blink the selected status between "fix manually" and "delete error" options when browsing the errors with the arrow buttons even when "fix manually" was disabled.

27. Live Support window could say for the status of the service "Live Support status: Live Support: Online". This has now been fixed so it will say e.g. "Live Support status: Online".

28. The File Tools might not always remove a file from the list after using Delete. This event could also cause the tool to freeze.

29. System Cleaner's Delete/Fix broken shortcut feature did not Delete/Fix anything.

And new Improvements since the last Test Version:

14. You can now drag and drop files directly to the Anti-Malware tool via the Main Window: simply drop the file you want to scan over the AntiMalware tool's icon.

15. Added support to let users know the opening hours of our Live Support within the Live Support tool.

16. Added support for the protective "Automation in progress, please wait" layer to the System Cleaner.

What is the difference between "Live Help" and "Live Support?"

"Live Help" is available 24/7?

"Live Support" is available during open hours?

I find that ambiguous. Perhaps the web graphic needs to be changed.
