When selecting the registry cleaner and finally fixing the issues the 'working this could take awhile ..... is not translated in 'Dutch ' .

I am using the Dutch ' RC2 version, translated version, the translation in Dutch should be 'uitvoeren, dit kan een tijdje duren,even wachten aub . '

After the Dutch translation had been sent to Macecraft, the English.lng file has been changed. The updated Dutch translation is OK now and will be included in the next (final?) release of the program.

Release notes:

* You might get an EInvalidPointerOperation error message when closing the program, this is normal and nothing serious.

After closing jv16PowerTools 2009 RC2 the expected "EInvalidPointerOperation error message" is displayed, but followed by 138 times error message:

"Runtime error 216 at 7C40426E".

This problem should now be fixed. I'll upload an updated version probably tomorrow.

System Optimizer

System Optimizer, cannot change a pre-set tweak . . . . . . . . . Not fixed in RC2 . . . . . (1) cannot confirm in RC1 due to new bug

In RC1, all 20 tweaks could be applied successfully.

In RC2, the 8 performance tweaks and user interface tweak 2-2 can be applied. However, the other 11 tweaks fail as follows:

* each of the 11 tweaks' subdirectories is created in \Backups\_SystemOptimizer, but each is empty

* error messages like those below occur

: Failed to open registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"!
: Failed to open registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU"!
: Failed to open registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"!

Furthermore, when "unapplying" tweaks, the tool hangs just as it did in RC1. The hang behavior is described in the red text at the reference link above.

Each task performs its expected function, but its jv16PT.exe process does not end when the function is complete.

Registry Cleaner - a key vs. entry count discrepancy

The structured format results list and scan report agree about the total number of items in the results.

However, they disagree about the number of keys and entries.

CTRL+A does not work properly with the structured list.

With the raw list, it correctly does a select all.

When you click "Change settings" in the System Cleaner's "Delete files" tab, it gets its initial settings from …\Settings\Preferences\FileCleaner.dat.

If you do the following, the C:\ drive will be checked when you click "Change settings" in the System Cleaner's "Delete files" tab in a later PT session:

1. click the File Cleaner icon

2. select the "Unneeded files" checkbox

3. select the C:\ checkbox

4. deselect the "Unneeded files" checkbox

5. click the "Cancel" button

The Aggressive Scan warning message often falsely appears. Here is one example..structured file list.

- Open PT 2009>Registry Cleaner>Slider Bar already in aggressive position.

- Move the slider bar up one notch and click on Start.

- Aggressive warning message appears.

On the converse, it also does not appear when it should.

- Open Pt 2009>Registry Cleaner>Slider Bar in 3rd notch down

- Move the slider bar to the aggressive position and click on Start

- No aggressive warning message appears.

I did a test with my newest Dutch translation and fieldoxyde is correct:

finally the English text is NOT translated.

That must be an error in the English.lng file which should be fixed.

Afterwards I'll do the correct Dutch translation ("Bezig. Dat kan een tijdje duren. Even geduld...").

You are correct, the Structured Format list did count the number of keys and entries wrong, the Scan Report counts right. This problem is now fixed, thank you for reporting!
