Well, let's close this interminable discussion and let jv16 concentrate at doing his job, namely fixing the remaining bugs in PT2008 :
Only this:
1.Delphi and Jan are just some users (among many others) of the program and jv16 is the programmer (and the boss).
2.No user can constrain the programmer to do something against his wll. He can only humbly ask for it...
3.Just a couple of users has asked for such an installer/uninstaller. All the others (many thousands/tens of thousands are indifferent and use the program as is.
4.No user has the right to violate the rights of the programmer and his creation, if the programmer doesn't comply immediately with the users request.
5. It's really very very simple: from the License Agreement of the product, under chapter 11 Distributing:
"Trial version of jv16 PowerTools 2008 may be freely distributed provided
that it is not modified in any ways and that the original distribution packages
remain intact
6. The file "jv16 PowerTools.exe" made by a "friend" of Jan and included in the package distributed by Jan is both an additional file - and hence a illegal modification indicated in the License Agreement - and a foreign part of the package with the name of a protected program.
7. The package distributed by Jan and edskes.net contains also other foreign elements like translations not yet included in the original Macecraft package and a Dutch translation of the jv16 PT 2008 Handbook. That's also a not authorized modification of the original distribution package, hence that package didn't remain intact.
8. Considering all previous points, Jan nor edskes.net nor Delphi nor anyone else have the right to put online, distribute, or promote/recommend the illegal package(s) so called "improved installers" or "conditional installers" for jv16 PowerTools (2005/2006/2007/2008) or RegSupreme (Pro).
