FYI -- these two statements used in the same RF scan gave a good (except for the single source thing) result:

1. ("CurrentControlSet\Control\hivelist" OR "SystemPartition" OR "SystemPrefix" OR "SystemRoot") AND NOT ("{Key}" OR "%SystemRoot%")

2. "DosDevices" AND NOT "COM1" AND NOT ":"

So multiple statements are supported (two anyway) … :

v.401 and v.403 Transparency Effect

Settings >> Interface >> Transparency effect

Title is greyed out and the button doesn't work. I have Vista Home Premium, Aero, and a 7800 GTX so I should be able to handle transparency . . .

v.401 and v.403 Backup Location

Reverts to the default after installing new version over previous. I keep my backups stored on another drive so that they don't get lost if I need to do a Restore Image with Acronis TrueImage. Other settings remain after an Install Over, so why not this one?

ALSO, on the download page the version number needs to be updated. I wouldn't have known there was a new version if not for MajorGeeks. lol

Could you give step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the problem? Also, could you turn on the debug mode (create a file, empty or not, called "DebugMode.dat" to the installation dir of jv16 PowerTools) and send me the debug log it creates to the desktop when performing the step-by-step procedure to reproduce the problem?

ALSO, on the download page the version number needs to be updated. I wouldn't have known there was a new version if not for MajorGeeks. lol

All I do is to reset the column widths every time I run a Reg Clean in RAW Mode because they never get saved (actually, I don't think there is a save column width feature). I don't see any option to make it save or not save, so I don't know what other steps to tell you.

Since the first and last columns have fixed maximum sizes, perhaps it would be an easy change for jv16 to force those sizes when resizing …

The middle columns vary so much, I think I would always have to resize them, so a memory for them would not help me.

But I do find it an ongoing nuisance having to manually resize the first and last columns ...

The data the columns contains does vary wildly, but I would still be happy if the widths would get saved as, for the most part, what I need to see is displayed in the first half of any data displayed for some column on any key found.

For example, I look for keys containing file names on my E: drive. I run all installers from there then delete them, so they always show up as invalid.

I'm just amazed that this isn't implemented because it's so standard on every other program using such a form, :

JV the annoying disappearing act by the automation tool is back:

running registry cleaner, via automation tool from the desktop, the window open briefly then closes immediately.

1) The not translated TABS bug seems to be fixed

2) "Registry Cleaner - Results" header still NOT translated > I cannot find that expression in the English language file: is that the cause?

3) Several options in some tools are NOT translated though the expressions (in English AND matching translations) exist in the language file:

3.1) File Finder > Search by size > File that are smaller than, etc

none of the options translated

3.2) File Finder > Search bij date > Look only for files which have been > created (etc) within (etc) years (etc); none of the options created
