Issues found by beta testers
Issue: Just hovering and not clicking on More Functions button, opens the sub-menu, this bug is not present in file finder.
Reported by: drob
Status: This is actually a feature, you don't have to click the button in order to see the menu. But there is a bug, the feature works in a different way with the file tools and the Directory Finder: in file tools you need to have at least one file selected, in Directory Finder you don't. In RC3 and later the menu will only automatically show if there is at least one file selected.
Issue: Reboot option not saved as reported in RC1.
Reported by: drob
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later. The option is actually saved, but the computer restarts before the data is saved to the file. You can verify the setting is saved by checking the box and closing the tool, when you open the tool the next time the box is automatically checked.
Issue: RC2 did not create all its primary subdirectories.
Reported by: tullik & DooGie
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: The error " <file> is not a file encrypted with jv16 PowerTools 2006!" should be changed so it will pop in the message window of the file tool and not in the main window message window (can cause focus problems).
Reported by: PROGAME
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: The line "Please, shut down your browser and try again.<br><br>This is required to make sure the browser and jv16 PowerTools 2006 don't try to edit the same data at the same time." needs an update to version 2007 too.
Reported by: PROGAME
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: "automatically close the main window after a new window is closed" should be default IMO, it prevents a lot of headaches from the user.
Reported by: PROGAME
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: Custom error fixing window of the structured Registry Cleaner list shows too small by default
Reported by: symantics
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: Backup Tool's list should be sorted by default with "Created" (descending) column rather than ID column.
Reported by: tullik
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: PT is so busy building a Backup Tool's "Custom Restore" list, that it neglects its own windows
Reported by: tullik
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: When History/MRU Cleaner removes files, the status reports incorrectly says the tool removed registry entries and not files.
Reported by: tullik
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: In History/MRU Cleaner When the "History items found" count is 1, and the item is a file, "Show data" shows nothing. When the "History items found" count is more than 1, and the items are files, "Show data" shows one item less than the count (same bug)
Reported by: tullik
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issues found in in-house testing
Issue: Searching files with the File Finder using many different search criteria at the same time doesn't work.
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
Issue: Double clicking an item in the History/MRU Cleaner should automatically pop up the Show Data window. And in it, double clicking should also work.
Status: Fixed in RC3 and later.
