No Items in History Manager

I must admit I was hoping to read something like, "we're aware of the problem, and are working to correct it...". Unfortunately, it appears that active troubleshooting to correct this problem is not being performed (at least that's my read on the reply).

Given that, it would have been nice to have a "known problems" link on the main website so that prospective buyers might be informed that certain features may not work on their system.

We are aware of the problems with IE as in some users have had problems with some versions of Internet Explorer. Since this is not a general problem there is no information about this in our website, except in here, of course.

I have a feeling I know what could be causing the problems but I don't know when I have the time to fix them.

I read somewhere that the latest version has a bug fix.... But I downloaded the latest version 1.5.1.311. this morning (Oct 6), and also my history manager shows no entry for IE (I'm running IE 6, Win98). There are many Firefox entries though (currently 545), but none of those get really removed even though it TELLS me that they have been removed and they even disappear from the little window... BUT only until I close it and open it again, and then all of them are back again... :-(

There are currently 545 files I would like to get rid off (and probably quite a few more if it would show me the IE history as well), but I can't delete them, it just doesn't work....

Btw, I have the same problem with the COOKIE manager and the cookies come back as soon as I close and open it again...

Maybe those two, cookie manager and history manager, might have a bug that is related?

Is there a fix for those two things, please? Or perhaps a "backdoor" how to get around that problem so the manager(s) will work? *looking hopeful*

Same problem - nothing in History manager. For reference, I'm running: 1) JV16 2005 PT 1.5.1.307

2) Win XP home, SP1

3) IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.040919-1103

I note that some JV16 users have higher builds (310, 311, etc.) yet when I use the JV16 "check for registry cleaner udates" no updates are found. Is there another program feature to get these new builds?

I have the same problem with History Manager - start button is grayed out and no items listed. IE6 & Win 2000; have tried to run both with administrator rights and with standard user rights.

No listings in History; Cookies keep returning after removed.

Could have got by just paying for the reg cleaner if I knew these 2 programs don't work.
