I wrote several times on the forum to report on problems which appeared in beta versions ; I did give information on sites which would be of interest for all users ; I did post request for new features ; I am not claiming my contributions were great ; I am not claiming that I should get a free license but if I read the post regarding Free license winners , I should be among contributors. All feedback, reports, suggestions etc. count, not only bug reports. If you tested many tools and wrote a brief report on what tools you did test and how they performed that would also entitle you for a free license.

The point is that you must somehow

1) show that you have actually done something, and

2) provide some information that is useful in the context of beta testing.

Obviously, we can't send a free license for all users who just report "tested everything, works great!" since such feedback doesn't really give us anything to work on - especially if the version in question had many very clear and visible bugs that one couldn't miss.

Also, if you only reported one bug that was also reported by ten other testers before you that doesn't automatically entitle you for a free license.

I never thought to get a free license for my few reports, as there was some people who did a really incredible good work in the Beta-Forum.

I gave a report a on 23/2/2006 regarding no be able to see all dialog boxes because of "large font sizes".

I also reported on 8/3/2006 and 25/3/2006 where I indiacted that I could not proceed as "no valid licence file found!"

Wow! Thanks a lot, Jouni! I'll ask my friends if someone wants a license for the program, since I've got one for translating the Handbook to Spanish (I have to update the translation, by the way : ). Let's hope the fight for the license between my friends won't end in a bloodbath!

I have tried to be of some help in your beta testing of this product. I have reported on almost every build, through the forum and/or via email, and I have never been answered by you directly or indirectly. I found one distant comment by the program developer stating that "this" particular problem doesn't happen on that many machines and that you were going to focus on more important bugs/issues.

I'm not beggin' for a license bub, but asking me to research all my entries up to you now again, if you didn't see them or find them useful the first time why should I do it again. I have better things to do.

By the way the registry compactor feature STILL doesn't work on my machine that purposely does not have a c: drive, the only difference between the RC versions 1-5 and the final released ver. 1.5.2.331 is that the 10 error boxes do not show on the screen anymore. I am Still unable to use one of the main tools of your program . I feel jipped. I would be happy to give more details only if you intend on correcting this otherwise I have used up enough time already.

Will this problem ever be fixed or is it deemed not important enough to correct?

Added APR-4-2006: I have not seen any response ever to this problem. Should I just give up? Also, some posters need to lighten up a little describing the actions of others. How can you be so sure of others and what they are doing and for what reasons? We are all lucky if we truley know our self and why we do the things we do! Arrogance Kills !

I also spent a lot of time going through every tool I could. Some would not let me work them, I spent a long time on the registry cleaner especially. When it became clear last week I was not on the list I deleted all the emails from you and emails sent to you. It would have been nice if you could have informed me after the first email I was not suitable for the job. :)

Forgive me if I'm being gratuitous but it's possible some people have forgotten that Jouni promised early in the beta testing that a 2005 licence would work for the 2006 version. He's kept to that promise as I can confirm (having installed the new version a few moments ago). But reading some of these messages, allow me a comment: if you've not purchased a licence in the last two years, I suggest you consider how good a job Jouni does on jv16PT, that he relies on it for an income stream (and it's very reasonably priced). I think you should do the decent thing and buy a new licence - even if, like me, you provided feedback but which probably wasn't hugely useful; e.g. I didn't pick up the early problems with the registry compactor or the fact that the early betas were deleting significant files. This tells me that others were doing a much better job than I was able. C'mon guys, give Jouni a break...

Well, I only had the beta r5 for a little less than 2 wks, so I only had time to make a post or 2 on registry cleaner results. I think I submitted them to the wrong threads anyways. : I wish I could get a free license because I love your products. Thanks for letting me take a look at the new one :) :)

Unfortunately i didnt have much time to evaluate the beta. What i saw was good... but the email i sent you about some of the functions not being available to me... due to it not recognizing me as having admin rights on my machines brought me to a screeching halt. As it is standing i have no reason to purchase or recommend the product with this unresolved issue.

Did this people - who are writing one of their first posts and claiming a free licence for some minor observations - had a look on the posts of guys like "tullik" and "redseujac".

This is the result, when someone is to generous!
