Well, after downloading and installing the latest (7.0.0) version... I must say that I'm disappointed! With the release of each new version, I routinely run System Cleaner, note any flagged errors, then click the Clean and Fix Everything button, and Restart my system after completion.

Then I immediately launch jv16 System Cleaner again, and hope to see NO errors flagged. But guess what? I performed these steps repeatedly (no less than 8 times) and NEVER achieved ZERO flagged errors! Is this not a realistic expectation? This leaves me VERY CONCERNED that maybe I should have kept using the prior version, and waited until bugs like this were corrected...

This got missed in your last responses. If it deletes a file (clean and fix all), should this restore command put it back, or am i missing something??

There is an actual bug. Attached is my original IGNORE list. I will attempt to add CASPER at the bottom of the list.

1. Open Settings>General and scroll down to the IGNORE list.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the existing IGNORE list.
3. On a new line add the word Casper.
4. Click on APPLY.
The Settings window quickly closes and jv16 goes back to the Dashboard.
5. Open Settings>General and scroll down to the IGNORE list.
The only item now in the IGNORE list is Casper
You are absolutely correct, and this is indeed a bug! This issue is now fixed and the fixed version will be released with a priority schedule, most likely Thursday next week. Thank you for reporting!

This can happen for example when some data is being re-created by a running application, or Windows, or for many other reasons other than being a bug in jv16 PowerTools. I don't mean to say it could not be a bug, but simply from this description, it's impossible to say whether this is a bug.

If you could send a screenshot of the results after the scans to show me what kind of data persists, that would be helpful in order to see what is actually going on and is there a bug.

After a System Clean, jv16 recommends that the user reboot their system to make sure it is okay. During the system clean, jv16 currently has a check box that, if checked, causes jv16 to automatically reboot the system. The user really has to be quick to check mark this box because it disappears quickly on fast systems. I recommend the following change.

1. Remove the current reboot checkbox.
2. On the message that appears after the system clean completes that recommends the user reboot, insert a "Reboot Now" function that, when clicked on, will automatically reboot the system.
3. I see no need of jv16 to automatically restart following the system reboot. To me, that is an annoyance and is unnecessary.

Hi Jouni,
Thank you for your continued support of jv16PT.
I just installed it under Fedora Linux KDE 32 and it installed itself via wine (WINdows Emulator). It works like a charm !
Best regards

I downloaded the 1274 as I assume it had the bug corrections in it??
It did not delete the ignored files this time, but I noticed it did not display all the errors for checking. The scan found60 Registry, 672 unneeded and 1 other, but only showed 82 out of 82 items. There was no 2nd page to view these and a quick count did show only 82 lines displayed.
Under settings, all of the 'Do not list...' boxes are unchecked.

SMALL BUG: In Programs and Features on Windows 10 (after a complete uninstall and reboot of Windows 10) version 7.0.0.1274 is being registered as version 6. Otherwise a fine release! :)

I'd like to see the entry in Programs and Features for jv16 show the proper version number as well as the build number. 7.0.0.1274

I have 3 monitors on my primary system. They are attached to an Nvidia 980 Ti card with Display Port connectors. The monitors are controlled by the latest version of DisplayFusion. The monitors are arranged as 2-3-1 with monitor 3 being the primary monitor.

When I open jv16, the splash screen displays properly on the primary monitor 3. However the Dashboard always opens on Monitor 2. Is there anything you can do to make the Dashboard open on the system primary monitor?

I did not get a response last time, so here is a new screenshot. It found 939 errors all up, but only displayed 62 to check whether I wanted to keep them. I ran the Clean and Fix, then reran the Cleaner, it did not find any new files????? What happened to the other 900 it cleaned without letting me know what they were and letting me check them first.
