New jv16 Powertools build 5.0.0.468

Post by redseujac »

First of all my congratulations for the newest version :D

This version seems to be faster than all previous (beta)builds.

However my latest Dutch translation is not added, it's an older version. Never mind, I'll send you my latest improved Dutch translation, so our Dutch speaking users can upgrade to it.

Best regards,

I have immediately updated the Dutch translation, because in the new build of jv16 PowerTools there were untranslated strings which didn't exist in the previous build.

You'll find it in attachment :D

Thank you very much! Unfortunately we had to make some user interface changes during the last steps of development, and that is why the translation files had to be changed, too. In all this, it seems we made a mistake of including the not-the-latest version of your Dutch translation. Sorry!

We will include the attached version to the official package and we are trying the new Automatic Updates system, it should now automatically deliver the new translation files to users 8)

Internet Optimizer issue
Unfortunately I still have issues with Internet Optimizer tool.
It seems that tool doesn't work at my system.

Disabling Malwarebytes makes no difference at all.

Translation problems
I have noticed that there exist still translation problems.

The English source file has apparently been changed at more places than I first thought. So I have to restart from scratch comparing the whole English source file with my translation file. Big and annoying job

I also noticed that the "Trans_Missing.txt" file is not always reliable. That's a pity. It's also a pity that the former translation system doesn't exist anymore. It was much more reliable and easier to use for the translators.

In the meantime the actual Dutch translation will do, but maybe not always correct at some places.

The fixed Dutch translation is now ready (version One.Eight) and it's added in attachment.
However there are some issues.
After changing a language, in the message "Restart jv16 PowerTools..." the buttons "Restart jv16 PowerTools" and "Close jv16 PowerTools" are not translated, though they are translated in the language file.
It's related to [SharedButtons] > "mcZq4XE7mcZE=Restart jv16 PowerTools" and "4SF8iHr7H48i=Close jv16 PowerTools".
Please try to fix this.

There are some more forgotten language strings

Follow sentences are not translated:

Change language:
Restart jv16 PowerTools
Close jv16 PowerTools

Check for Updates:
You are currently using the latest version of jv16 PowerTools.

Software Uninstaller:
- Open uninstall registry key
Error: This installed software does not have a registry uninstall key.

- Copy to clipboard
The data has now been copied to the Windows Clipboard. You can use Ctrl + V to paste the data to other applications.

- Add to Ignore List
This software has now been added to the Ignore List and will not be listed again in the future. You can edit the Ignore List from the Settings window.

There is also a BUG. If you change the language, the timer hangs on "Restart jv16 PowerTools (Restarting in 1 seconds ...)".

Bug confirmed. After a while when not clicking on "Restart jv16 PowerTools", the text of that button changes into "Restart jv16 PowerTools (Restarting in 1 seconds ...)", but it doesn't restart. You have to click it. However the intention is that it's restarting automatically after the timer ends.

Noted, thank you for reporting! Trying to find the cause for this. We actually just ordered and received new routers for testing purposes. Let's hope new hardware helps us to iron out the last issues from the Internet Optimizer :)

If this problem still permits, please contact our technical support. We had few reports of this issue. Many times it is a case of minor differences in the name which customer used to buy the software and then the name they are trying to use to license it. For example, one case we just solved was a case of a customer named "David" tried to license the program by using the name "Dave", which, of course, didn't work because our server didn't know David also goes by the name of Dave :)

What do you mean by the Trans_Missing.txt not being reliable?
