"5 days" option in File Cleaner Tool doesn't work correctly!

Post by Orhan »

There are a lot of *.tmp files older than 5 days in folder ...MyName\LocalSettings\Temp. Unfortunately jv16 PT2008 (1.8.0.472) doesn't detect any of them when "5 days" option is checked. No problem when this option is unchecked.

Do you refer the "5 days" feature of the Unused Files tab or the Temp Dirs tab?

Did you notice that the 5 days is referring to the Last Accessed date of the files, not the date when the files were created? So there might be very old files in your temp directories, but they are not picked up by File Cleaner if you have the option checked and the files have been accessed lately.

Oh sorry. I think it's my fault. I always read the last modified date. Thanks for the warning.
