"Start Menu Fixer" Issue

I had a problem with the Start Menu Fixer (SMF):

SMF will not delete an invalid shortcut entry when I choose to create a backup for the invalid entry.

When I choose "No" when asked if I want to create a backup, SMF does delete the invalid entry.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with SMF?
