Under the Files to Find tab, I checked the box for "Look only for the following files". Below this I typed in *.tmp. I then clicked on the Search In tab and added C:\. When I press Start, no files are found.

Using my Directory Opus file manager search routine, a total of 63 items are found.

I have done the test and for me everything works fine ...

Have you tried UNCHECKING EVERYTHING under the tabs:

- "Search by size"

- "Search by date"

- "Options"

Please let us know the results

You hit the nail on the head! Operator error! I unchecked Options > Skip deep directory structures to improve speed and all is well. Thanks for such a quick response. I am a licensed user of 2005 and look forward to 2006.
