Suppose the Show default is all tools.
Say you want a tool set of, say, 6 tools. You have to click on Show n times and turn off each tool with another click. Then you have to click on Show 6 more times and click once more for each tool you want. That's at least 58 clicks, and the same number of mouse movements. Then if you want to have a different tool set, you have do it again! And if you accidentally click "All tools" -- time to start over.
The general case is clicks = 2(n+m), where n=# of PT tools, m=# of tools in the desired tool set. :
Correction: the general case is 2(n-m) -- you don't have to turn off/on the tools you want -- only 34 clicks for m=6. :|
There is an easy workaround: click all tools and forget tool sets.
