It's not occurring consistently (the worst kind of bug). For instance, its not happening on my laptop. However, 2005 and 2006 are looking at the registry in quite different ways apparently.
I just ran the same normal mode RC scans on the laptop: first 2006, then 2005. A comparison of the ending stats is interesting:

Obviously the two scan engines are reaching their conclusions in different ways. 2006 is faster and that's good. It finds more errors, also good. However, it seems we are learning that sometimes it displays unrelated items as related ("bogus" lines), and sometimes fails to create correct backup of removed entries. Those are serious bugs, especially the last one.
