File Finder

I have tried to use the File Finder,however it does not work. I enter the file name and no start button it remains dim. :

I am using Bata 3 2006 after downloading it to Ver2005.

Running P4 HT Windows xp Home

Any suggestions will help!

Well dear Ted,

If you didn't tell File Finder where to Search in this would be normal !

Using RC-1, tried the File finder, and what ever I criteria I entered the START remained greyed out.

Please help if you can.

All you have to do is using the "Search" option an entering three words:

"File AND Finder" and then have the patience to read the posts indicated by the search results :

Thanks for the replies, sorry - my fault - I did not specify where to search, and I missed the answers concerning that.

Because there were numerous such "problems" before, I suggest that "C:\" could be there by default when File finder is started. I believe that most searches are in C anyway.

Also:

How about having the following rt. click options on selected files: delete, copy to, move to, which will make File finder much more practical.

How about adding 'Stop' to the results window, so the Finder can be stopped when the desired file is found? ('Close' closes the results window).

Leaving the 'Number of files searched' on the upper right, when the search ends can be of some use, so one knows how many files are present at the searched location.

Thanks redseujac, yes it is all there.

I did not see "more options" because I just highlighted the file, without selecting it with the tic mark, and then the "more options" does not show up. I am not sure what is the purpose of this difference between selecting and ticking.
