Reg cleaner in 2006

With both beta 2 & 3, when I run the registry cleaner I get boxes up with about 30 lines of error detail in each box (I have already sent a sample in) and then the program falls over. Anyone with the same problem? Any ideas? Is there a configuration process to go through? All the other elements seem to run OK.

The only significant configuration occurs during setup when you specify the install directory. It should be a separate directory. For example, I used:

Program Files\jv16 PowerTools 2006-beta2

Program Files\jv16 PowerTools 2006-beta3

Program Files\jv16 PowerTools 2005

Program Files\Power Tools (jv16)

and have had all four versions up at the same time with no problems caused by that. Of course, doing this, I exercised due care when launching tools, considering function and order.

I recommend using different names for the start menu folders also, to simplify uninstall.

If you did use a new folder, I suspect you may have problems not directly related to the beta.

I used a separate folder. Everything else on my machine is functioning as should.
