Registry Finder isn't finding leagcy_cmdservice

Version 1.5.1.311.

I search for the words "legacy_cmdservice" and nothing shows up.

Search method: Normal.

Options are the defaults with all the analyze boxes checked, no ignore boxes checked.

I can use regedit and navigate to it. Some demo anti-spyware flagged it and I was going to delete all traces of it, but it's not finding any of them, for example, at:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_CMDSERVICE. Is this because it's a key and not a value?

No, because Registry Finder searches for keys as well ...

Try searching for 'cmdservice' ...

It doesn't find cmdservice either. I tried searching for a few other keys nearby, like legacy_beep, and legacy_cfsvcs. No problem. I even copied and pasted the key so I didn't mangle the name (like I did in the subject of the original post). Very odd. I'm mostly curious.

I don't have time right now, but maybe I'll load another registry finder just to see if it finds it. Also, I have other PCs I can add the key just to narrow it down.

Why not trying the Windows XP registry finder:

"Run" > "Regedit" > "Ctrl+F"
