If I set MODE to NORMAL or to REFERENCE, the scan time is the same, the number of KEYS and VALUES scanned is the same, and the ERRORS found is the same. I would have expected REFERENCE mode to scan deeper based on the description of REFERENCE mode.

Also, the MODE selection does not stay SAVED from session to session. It always defaults back to NORMAL mode. Is this by design?

If remeber correct there whas a message about Normal and Referenece that it won't make any or any big diffrence.

This becouse normal mode should find everything that is invalide.

And therefore the reference mode CAN find more, but it doesn't have to.

BlackDex is correct, the Reference mode can find more but doesn't always do so. In other words: the Normal and Reference mode usually always give the exactly same results (i.e what errors they find), but the Normal mode is usually a bit faster.

All previous versions of the product have been using the Reference mode, the Normal mode is a new feature of the new registry cleaner engine included in the PT 2006.

I have now fixed the bug reported (the Normal mode is always selected by default, the previous setting is not remembered), and information texts are now made more clear.

Perhaps reference mode is not kicking in even though I selected it each time I tried to scan. I get the same number of key/values scan irrespective of which mode is selected. And 2006 is scanning ~ 50% of keys/values that 2005 is scanning/reporting (my thread on scan time and results).
