While using the jv16 PowerTools 2006 Beta 1 the only issues that I have are GUI responsiveness issues. When the cache was being updated when I first installed the program, it seemed as if the program crashed. I couldn't click on anything, there was not progress bar or anything else to indicate the program was doing anything at all. Eventually it just came up with a message saying that the cache update was complete.
The same thing happens whenever I used the registry cleaner and the file cleaner. Especially when I clicked on fix items, it didn't seem like anything was happening at all.
I suggest that after selecting all the options in the registry cleaner and starting the scan, to just have a simple dialog pop up that shows the progress of the scan with the option to pause and cancel. Thats it, nothing else.
The same during the fix, when I clicked on fix, I didn't know what was going on, or what the program was doing, I would like to see a simple dialog that says, currently trying to fix entry 3 of 500 or whatever.
Of course, I think the most important aspects of these dialogs is for them to be responsive, so I'm not tempted to use the handy three finger salute (Ctrl+Alt+Del).
One final suggestion. On the file cleaner tool, it would be nice to be able to analyze a file etc by just clicking on it and then going to the "More Functions..." button. As it is now, I have to actually check the item. Better yet, putting these functions as a context menu on a right click would also be very nice.
All-in-all it is the best program of its kind out there.
