The portable version is not really portable, because the app is writing settings to c:\users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\ . Would be nice to select where to store the setting data. so that uninstalr could be run on a USB-stick without leaving traces on the host computer.

It is fully portable, as there is no need to save settings in order to use it.

The purpose of temporary data folders is just that, to store temporary data.

No need? I change language to my native one, then I uncheck "attempt to create a System Restore Point" (for that I am using a 3rd party app), then I save the settings to c:\users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\Uninstalr.dat. By default i don't want the computer to restart automatically, so I edit Uninstalr.dat and change it to AutoReboot=0. All these changes are store on the PC. As long as I use the app on the same PC it's okay, but starting it from a USB-Stick to another PC it does not make sense.
In my opinion it is not portable at all, but it does not matter. It is a great app and I will use the setup version.

By "no need", I mean that the program can be fully used without the need to adjust the settings. If you do adjust the settings, that is your preference to do so.

That being said, I fully see your point. For the next version, the program shall check whether it is being run from a removable drive such as USB stick, and if that is the case, then user settings are saved to the USB stick instead the system's Temp folder.
