Okay, I downloaded and installed jv16PT_1320 today and I have found six issues.

Software Uninstaller: When trying to uninstall FastStone Image Viewer twice, I was confronted with a BSOD (so to speak) twice

--> ERRORCODE: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.

--> PC rebooted.... automatically, twice!

--> Result: app was still installed, nothing happened...

Welcome text by Jouni: When above issue happened, the Welcome text (which I had turned off) reappeared

My Account: When above issue happened, my credentials were still visible in , but I "awarded" with a free license for 14 days...?!

Sounds like Windows might have done some kind of automated restore when the uninstallation failed, that would explain why the welcome text came back and the license status was not applied. To confirm: have you now been able to license the app?

This is because when we update the program by adding new tools or other UI elements, there is a delay before all of them are translated and the translation files are updated by our volunteer translators.

The above issue is a serious one. It cannot be ignored. You do realize that with Windows 11 Pro all files are sent to Microsoft during a Blue Screen , including personal information that you agreed to when you installed Windows 11. I am almost ready to do a small review to our 500,000 members but I would love to not have to mention this. So please let me know when it is fixed.

If you mean the mentioned Windows blue screen of death (BSOD) error reported by Olyfant22, yes, I am currently working on trying to fix that. There are few cosmetic issues that have already been fixed so we are considering of doing a quick updated version release, possibly even this week. I'll let you know soon!

The primary system temp directory as defined in the OS environment variables.

Files are everything from randomly named temp files, log 7z files, exe's, random dirs from Adobe and others, various leftover temp files from installers/updaters, etc. Anything that any app might use in a temporary fashion while running scans, installs, loading files, etc etc.

I recommend that jv16 System Cleaner globally ignore 000003.log files. These are not normal log files. These typically contain program data bases, settings, and other key elements that should not be deleted.

TechSmith also uses a 000007.log file for the same purpose. Maybe you should ignore 00000*.log.

On my primary PC, its:

C:\Windows\Temp

On my dev\test PC, its:

c:\system_temp

Same result on both.

I love the newest version of the Powertools. I have been a customer for many years and own two lifetime licenses. I would like to offer a suggestion on the registry cleaner page... after it runs there is an index on the left that specifies what and number of things found and the master list on the right that contains the total list.

Could I suggest that if you uncheck select all on the index side, and then check one (or more) items in the index, the list on the right would display only those items for review. It makes my review of what might be cleaned up much more efficinet.

Can you implement a setting that forces the Dashboard to open on the system primary monitor- "Force Dashboard to Open on System Primary Monitor"? There should be a registry key that specifies the system primary monitor on single and multiple monitor systems. This would negate the requirement of you having to set up a multiple monitor test computer at your labs to resolve the issue of the Dashboard opening on random monitors on multi-monitor systems. The jv16 splash screen always opens on the primary monitor.
