I am using jv16PowerTools 2005 (version 1.5.1.311) on Windows XP.
The Registry Cleaner does the best job of any similar software I've tried to date. However, I'd like to know why it cannot detect the following problem:
My Dell notebook originally came with MusicMatch installed. I uninstalled MusicMatch, but it left a number of entries that I would have expected Registry Cleaner to detect and remove. For example, below is a MusicMatch control that points to a CLSID whose entry in turns references a TypeLib key,
BFF38E2D-B1D9-48F9-B11D-4F8A150F1C84
that does not exist anywhere in the registry. So why doesn't Registry Cleaner flag this entire chain of keys as invalid?
