Windows 7 users?

just curious if there is a number of Win7 users who use jv16PT - besides me? Also, if so - any problems with recent builds?

According to the data we have, under 5% of jv16 PowerTools users are using Windows 7.

We actually still use it in our testing systems for quality control. Along with Windows 8, 8.1 and of course Windows 10.

I still use Win7 PRO 64-bit as main OS. I am using JVT16 as v6.1.0.1203. I have no plans to upgrade my platform to Win8, or Win10, and certainly not to upcoming Win11. What may force a change is if I purchase a new PC. But, I don't like Telemetry hassles with MS OS versions above Win7. And, Win7 runs the most recent games, plus legacy Office Apps that I like. McAfee Total Protection takes enough care of my security needs - but see the discussion on JVT getting quarantined by a recent McAfee update. I'm OK with being in the <5% of current jv 16 users using Win7.

We will continue to support Windows 7 and we have no plans of dropping the support. In fact, jv16 PowerTools even supports Windows Vista. It is unfortunate that McAfee contains this false positive detection for jv16 PowerTools, but I am sure they will fix the issue with their product shortly.
