I solved the problem: you said to install Update 4.2.0.1774 from scratch or even on top of any already installed version. I chose to install it on the previous version resinding in C:\Program files\jv16 Power Tools 2017, but the new one created directory C:\Program files\jv16 Power Tools. I didn't noticed, so at last I found two jv16pt installed and obviously I didn't updated Windows Defender's white list for new strings like Preworker1 etc..
Solution : uninstalled old version, updated Windows Defender white list. I give you my excuses. Best regards. Ennio.
