Performing Initial Setup

When I start JV16 I get a window called Performing Initial Setup. In past versions it goes away within 5min. This screen has been running for hours.

I have rebooted Win7 Ultimate with all MS updates and re-run jv16. I get the same screen and let it run for hours.

What can I do to fix the problem?

In Windows 10 "Performing initial Setup" is supposed to happen "only one time", but happens at least two times every time I start jv16 PowerTools, and hangs for approx. 3 minutes then either entirely drops out or pops up a "Bug Report", which then apparently goes nowhere because it doesn't like my email address (which is too bad since there's a lot of pertinent info that could be analyzed to correct this problem in this report). Not desiring to see this happen, or wait for it to fail, I just exit from this defective opening and after doing so a few times the program comes up correctly, but it is annoying :

Can't believe that everyone's just OK with this issue. Doesn't anyone from Macecraft read these posts? You'd like to think that this problem will be addressed in the next revision, I hope that's soooon! :

Click on "Submit a Request" located at the top right.

Whoops I was wrong! Now the Performing Initial Setup hangs perpetually just like Docfxit described in the first post. Irritating!!! :

Yeah have the same issue here, initial setup bar gets about 3/4 of the way across and then it just hangs there without finishing the product setup. Have let it run overnight / hours but it never gets it finished.

The problem persists in Version 4.2.0.1845. :

New Version 4.2.0.1882 Performing Initial Setup works great, the problem now is that everything else you run in the program ends up in "Send Bug Report" :

Version 4.2.0.1898 works well without hanging up in Performing Initial Setup (which is actually missing visually in setup), and no "Send Bug Report" popup! Thanks jv16 Power Tools Team! 8)
