Software hang on cache update

I would like the software to be a little more bug-free before adding extra features. The main issues are software hang after cache update & cursor corruption during several operations (mouse cursor changes to resize on main JV16 screen). There are also unusual delays on several operations eg help/homepage. Opening Software manager, shows an empty page for around 2 minutes until it loads the data.

I'm not really sure what JV16 is doing when it updates it's cache, this seems to take a long time from 10 mins to never finish. I tried just now & it finished in 10 mins, this is the first time I've ever seen it finish, previously I would have to stop the process in Task Manager.

Any idea what could be wrong please? Is 10 mins reasonable?

The computer is overclocked to 201 as recommended by MSI support. RAM tests OK by memtest86. No other issues.

Do you have any external-hdd's? if so try to disconnect it and start PT again.

Also there is an way to disable caching on sertain drives.
