Back in April, I bought jv16 PowerTools 2017 for my Uncle’s ASUS X553M running Windows 10 64-bit. I managed to run the tools after the initial setup completed and there appeared to be some improvement in speed. After closing down however, I tried to run the program again but it started another initial setup. This happened possibly twice more and I also saved an error that appeared (see attachment.)
Unfortunately, I could not figure out what was happening at the time because my Uncle had to go back home and he hasn't been able to use the program at all. He is now visiting again until tomorrow and while I thought the problem was fixed, I am seeing the initial setup once again. If I close the initial setup and run jv16 again, then it appears to bypass the initial setup and go straight into the program but I'm not feeling too confident about the situation at the moment.
For what it's worth, I have been running the program as administrator and as that hasn’t been helping, I ran the compatibility troubleshooter. I thought choosing Windows 8 compatibility mode had fixed the problem but apparently, it hasn't.
Does anyone know what is causing this repetition?
