As a newbie illiterate user I wish to make a minor point:
When I do a clean-up I am prompted to make a "backup" before making changes. I have no idea what I am backing up but no doubt the intention is that I should be able to undo the changes. Good show.
But more to the point; I have no idea where it is backing up the files to, or how to restore those backups should it be required. Fortunately, to date I have not needed to restore. Maybe that is an endorsement of the product. Even so it makes me nervous.
Ideally I would want the backups to be saved to a separate disk or partition than that which is being cleaned. After all, if I should be minded to restore from a backup it may result from some critical corruption that could make access to the backup file problematic if that file is stored in a corrupted partition.
But that paranoia aside, it remains not exactly "in yer face" how to restore from an available backup. I accept that this is probably explained in detail in the manual, but it should not be necessary.
Personally, I think that if you load JV16, it should auto-prompt you on start-up to restore from a backup, which invitation you could decline. Maybe that is OTT?
