Disappointed!

As a VIP-user I have been using jv16pt for many years successfully and very satisfied. Now I installed parallely the 2017 version 4.1.0.1657 and after running this version for the first time nothing was like it was before. For example the very often used Adobe Photoshop CS4 together with Adobe Bridge worked very very slowly. It took at least 15 seconds until a photo was opened. Formerly it took less than 2 seconds. Other programs also worked more slowly than before. Finally I had to reinstall Windows (Windows 7 x64 professional) and believe it or not, everything was as it was before.

Conclusion: Now I am still using jv16pt X and everything is fine. I'll wait at least 6 month or more until I'll try again. I'm sure Macecraft has to work hard to become the 2017-version stable and non destructive.

Hello: I also have to express my discomfort by the operation of this latest version, it is very slow to boot and in its execution, something does not work well in this latest version, I have installed all the updates but the operation does not improve.

I have been a user of JV16 PowerTools for a long time, I have had all its versions but this one does not work well.

I have Windows 10 perfectly updated and I am considering uninstalling JV16 PowerTools 2017 if there is no quick fix. Greetings.

Likewise, with the new 2017 version it's slow,takes forever to reboot, so now I've removed the program and will not be using it . Shame you had a good program and now you have completely screwed it up.

For me, the new version is a mixed bag.

Somewhat better detection, but slower, and, in my opinion, becoming bloated with less-than-useful 'features' that I never use.

I started using PowerTools around 2002; at that time, wanting a good Windows registry cleaner.

I hardly recognize the current application anymore.

I have also been using JV16 Powertools for a long time. Now I have installed the latest version and have been having many of the same problems others have described; trouble installing, slow initial scan once installed, and now with the latest update to Ver. 4.4.0.1666 the program seems to lock up once I start the main tool C&SUMC. Windows reports it as "Not Responding". I have all other programs stopped, and have waited about 5 minutes, but the program never comes to life. This is very disappointing since up until this latest 2017 program issue I had no difficulty running the program or getting results. Each update seems to make the problem worse. What gives?

I have given up and uninstalled jv2017 for good. The update did solve my problem of making my computer un-bootable in the thread https://www.macecraft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=5871

But my computer was still slow to boot up each day. There was quite a variation in start up times as well, how can that be explained when all I have done on some days is just check my email and turned off again.

Now that jv2017 has been removed start up times are better and acceptable.

It is a shame because previous versions have always worked well, maybe I'm just unlucky this time with my system.

The last few days we've had some private builds sessions and tests and he managed to reduce the scan time considerably (from 14-15 minutes to 8-9 minutes), also fixed a bug where registry scan results were not listed and fixed the translation issue with the new tool "Find My License".

Nice work done by Jouni 8)

It looks like a new official build could be released next week.

I am having all the issues as every one else describes. Can not use the program since it freezes once I start it (Not responding)

Please notice that those private builds were developed to improve the scan speed of Clean and Fix my Computer which was really very slow on MY system.
