R Johnson wroteWhat happened to that great program that I've loved for many years and have had many of my customer buy as a "Have to Have" tool to keep your computer running like new?
Dear Mr. Johnson, that program can still be found here: https://www.macecraft.com/download-old-versions/ and runs accurately. The latest version has indeed several issues under specific configurations and we are working assiduously to fix them. We are almost done.
R Johnson wroteI have not been able to use the so called "New and Improved" for day ONE. tried to run main tools (reg cleaner) and it Killed my computer. Had to do a "System Restore" just to be able to use my computer.
Running the Clean and SpeedUp My Computer with very specific system configurations, for instance Windows XP or Windows 8.1 with Microsoft Office installed and other 3rd party software, can cause Windows no longer to load the Desktop (if this has happened to you, simply restart to Safe Mode and restore the System Restore Point jv16 PowerTools automatically created for you, or use Windows' Repair Startup feature.)
R Johnson wroteAsk for "Support" and was told to send a log, which I did. Received message that they got the log and would get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago and still no word.
Once we have the improved version ready we can also reply to all pending cases in regards to the proper solution.
R Johnson wroteI've tried a clean install but now I can't even get it to reinstall, stops 1/3 of the way and just hangs. To check if it was something on my computer, I asked one of my customers to update their version and it is doing the same thing as my main computer. I can't tell my customers to use this program in its current state and to be honest I don't have time to "Restore" every time it is used.
Before proceeding with the install, please right click on the installer file, before running it with Administrator rights, and select Proprieties, then unblock the file from the lower part of that menu. Again, this issue does not occur on all systems, there are isolated cases.
R Johnson wroteI read that a "New" "Fixed" "Better Version" is to be released by the end of the Week, Today is Friday, is that the end of the Week?
Indeed we have passed our intended release but all with good intentions and results. The upcoming version is even more stable than we expected and has great results.
R Johnson wroteA long time customer that is not very happy with Support and New Version.
