PT 2017 DEBUG mode

This applies to Windows 10x64 Pro Build 14393.479 with jv16 2017 build 1630.

If I depress shift>ctrl>mskey, DEBUG mode appears in the upper menu and shows the option to enable DEBUG mode. When I click on Enable Debug to enable it, jv16 states to manually close out and restart. On restart, DEBUG mode is no longer present.

I assume this option is no longer available ??? If so, the key stroke option should be removed, eh?

This is actually a feature, and not a bug. We left this key combination ON on purpose so that we can request extended DEBUG mode data collected by jv16 PowerTools 2017 to its Backups folder in technical support cases related to systems where more in-depth debugging is needed.

Yes, I have used this feature many, many times in previous versions of jv16. HOWEVER, in 2017, once I enable DEBUG mode and then close/reopen 2017, DEBUG mode is no longer active....or at least it does not show up as being enabled on the top menu bar. This the point of this forum thread. DEBUG "enabled" is not remembered.

Understood and reproduced, confirmed.

This issue should be fixed in the following public build of jv16 PowerTools 2017, which is due to be released before the end of the week.
