64-bit version requested

Being a registered and satisfied user of jv16 power tools as of 2006, I've never asked a question or nagged... :

Now its time to request one.

Although the program (up to JV16 Power Tools X included) is working fine with the genuine 64-bit windows version (now V10), I am actively pursuing to have genuine 64-bit programs available. The JV16 power tools is still 32-bit)

Would you be so kind to make a "super leap forward" with JV16 Power Tools 2017 and consider also compiling your program as a genuine 64-bit program, please?

(Migration from 32-bit into 64-bit programs is far too slow.....)

I second this. I think this will make the program even better and run better.

There really aren't that many benefits for 64-bit version. The main benefit would be to allow the program to use more than 2 GB of RAM - which is very important for software like Photoshop or some heavy video editor software, but not for jv16 PowerTools as it would never need that much RAM.

Being able to produce a 64-bit version would require us to make an investment of a scale of few thousand usd and at this point, we don't see the benefits of doing so. We will do it in the future, though, probably just not right now 8)

You've suggested that 64-bit may not be of added value for the performance of the software. You know best. However I look somewat further in the near future. Also look what's going on around you. Hardware/Processors have been build to work with 64-bit since one believe this is the future. 32-bit is currently still tolerated as an intermediate alternative. Look for instance at Apple and its IOS: new 32-bit software is not supported any more. Think what may happen when no 32-bit software is used any more. Hardware/Processors can then go into the next stage and remove the 32-bit part from their die, reducing processor size and improving performance. Software companies sticking to exclusively 32-bit software are delaying such innovative process. Please look somewhat futher in future and add some additional young knowhow to you, old school people !.....
