Automatically recreated entries problem

First I need to say I've been with jv16 PowerTools f o r e v e r! Never tried anything else and never had any problems. I've always stayed up with the latest version.

Currently I have 2 different machines with Win 10 Pro. Both came with Win 8 Pro, upgraded to Win 8.1 Pro and upgraded to Win 10 Pro.

Today I updated PowerTools X to v. 4.0.0.1506 on both machines.

The option in Registry Cleaning "do not show entries that will be automatically recreated" does not work.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the new jv16 and the problem still exists.

Thoughts?

Can you explain in more detail how the option you mention does not work? For example, does it show an error message of some sort?

There's no error message(s). Since most of the items are registry entries a reboot is required and the entries are deleted successfully during boot-up. All the entries scroll by in a Command Window and the process ends with "ALL DONE" and the machine continues to complete the boot.

Once the machine(s) is booted and everything is running that should be running, I open up jv16 PT X and use the Registry Cleaner again and all of those entries that I just cleaned are there again. I select "Fix" and repeat the process with the same results.

Ok, I can just live with it and hope v 2016 will fix it.
